Mini Moo Fairytale Farm Stay

Mini Moo Fairytale Farm Stay

From $795/night for up to 2 registered guests

Additional registered guests $150/night each • Maximum 10 guests • 2-night minimum

Sleep in the mountains. Wake up among the animals. Enjoy old world hospitality.

Imagine checking into a peaceful, luxurious mountain retreat where your neighbors have fuzzy ears, tiny horns and very big personalities — all surrounded by the storybook architecture of Howe Ranch's Castle Chalet and Stable Chalet.

Tucked among towering evergreens in the foothills of Glacier National Park, Howe Ranch feels wonderfully removed from everyday life, but just a short hop from dining, coffee, and shopping. Mountain peaks rise beyond the pasture, the valley stretches below, wildlife moves through the surrounding forest, and the soothing roar of Brown Creek rushing through the property creates the soundtrack to your stay.

Stone turrets, timbered chalet architecture, winding paths, forest, pasture and creek make the ranch feel almost like stepping into a fairytale — except this one comes with baby Highland cows and the other gentle creatures our farm is known for.

This is a place to unplug, slow down and recharge, while sharing unforgettable one-on-one time with the animals who call Howe Ranch home.

🐮 Your Farm Stay Experience
🐮 Meet Your New Ranch Friends

Once you arrive and settle in, you'll be introduced to the very important residents of Howe Ranch. Spend meaningful time with our mini Highland cow herd, cuddle and help care for our babies, meet our Valais Blacknose lambs King & Prince, visit with our goats — including little Ralphie — love on our sweet lop bunnies, and spend some quality time with Dolly the emu. This isn't a look-over-the-fence farm stay. Our experiences are centered on real interaction, bonding and time together with the animals.

✨ Welcome & Ranch Social Hour

Begin with an introduction and orientation, followed by time to settle into the rhythm of ranch life. Depending on your arrival time and the animals' needs, this may include treats and hospitality time with owners or staff in our whimsical Sugarplum Lounge, meeting the herd, learning everyone's personalities and getting your first round of mini-moo cuddles.

🍼 Help with the Evening Baby Routine

As evening settles over the ranch, join us for one of the sweetest parts of the day — the animals' evening routine. Spend time cuddling and caring for the babies, assist with feeding when appropriate, and help us tuck the ranch in for the night. It is a quiet, grounding side of farm life that most visitors never get to experience.

🗺️ Discover Our Fairytale World

Set off on the traditional Howe Ranch Scavenger Hunt, exploring the ranch's storybook surroundings as you follow clues through hidden corners, chalet architecture, forest paths and ranch landmarks. It's part scavenger hunt, part exploration — and one of our favorite ways to discover the property.

🫏 Optional Creekside Donkey Stroll

When conditions allow, take Annie or Elsie, our Austrian Baroque donkeys, for a leisurely walk toward Brown Creek. The sound of rushing water beneath the trees, mountain air and one very charming donkey beside you makes this one of the most peaceful ways to experience the ranch.

🌄 Slow Down. You Have Time.

There is plenty of unstructured time built into your stay. Return for more mini-moo cuddles. Sit with the lambs. Visit Dolly. Wander through the pasture. Explore the grounds. Take photos against the turrets and storybook chalet architecture. Listen to the creek. Watch for deer and birds of prey. Or simply sit outside as the mountains change color and one of Montana's dramatic sunsets unfolds over the ranch.

The point is not to rush from activity to activity. The point is to be here.

A Fairytale Mountain Retreat with Glacier at Your Doorstep

When you're ready to venture beyond the ranch, some of Montana's most extraordinary scenery and adventures are within reach. Use Howe Ranch as your peaceful home base for exploring Glacier National Park and the Flathead Valley, then return at the end of the day to your animals, your private Stable Chalet and the quiet of the mountains. It is the best of both worlds: a place that feels a world away from everyday life, surrounded by forest, wildlife, rushing water and whimsical architecture, while remaining convenient to dining, shopping and the surrounding attractions of the Kalispell area.

Come Stay Somewhere You'll Actually Remember.

Wake up with the mini moos.

Spend a little while living inside the fairytale.

And leave Howe Ranch feeling more rested, more grounded — and probably very attached to at least one cow.
